TRUE LOVE IS NOT A FEELING...

Love is the willing, joyful desire to put the welfare of others above our own" - John MacArthur. Some see LOVE as a willful act of generosity, a show of appreciation or rather, a show of mercy. But I think it is far more than all this. It is far greater than just a feeling. It requires much attention and the whole of your beings - your spirit, soul and body. Genuine love does not stop at the sweetness of the appearance but has to do more with the tenderness of a heart determined to serve unconditionally. True love is far greater than giving or any acts of generosity. If it must be defined in terms of giving, then it must be sacrificial in all dimensions. It is longsuffering, kind, sincere, humble, plain and objective rather than being judgemental. It is not easily provoked, it hates to do evil but consent to that which is good.
